Ginger Rogers Meets New York Fashion Week:

I’m a little disappointed that I’m not finding as much Ginger in these Fall 2012 NYC runway shows as I did during the Spring 2012 season, but such is life. Thankfully, these little pieces, at least, are pretty much spot-on with each other. The wavy floppy collar/lapels on the Costello coat and the broad sleeve cuffs on the Whit one are identical to the features on Ginger’s adorable bathing suit cover-up. Pardon - Alberto Beddini’s. It’s nice to see his sartorial inventions being employed decades later. Perhaps he was, in fact, a true visionary…
